World Cup of Pool teams and matches announced

FILIPINO legends Efren Reyes and Francisco Bustamante will be back to defend their World Cup of Pool title later this year.

The 2007 competition, which is sponsored by PartyPoker.net, will be held from Tuesday, September 25 to Sunday, September 30 at the Outland nightclub in Rotterdam, Holland.

Reyes and Bustamante clinched the inaugural trophy last August when they defeated Team America in the final at the Newport Centre, Newport, Wales in front of a large partisan crowd.

A total of 31 different countries will be represented in the scotch doubles, winner-break format with $60,000 going to the winning pair. Holland, as host country, will have two teams and one side will see the return of Dutch stars Alex Lely and Rico Diks, with the other team consisting of Niels Feijen (pictured above) and Nick van den Berg.
